If we dispatch of the old definition of human equality and embrace the new,
the issue of cultural bias in aptitude testing becomes recognized as existing
'absolute'. Absent questions pertaining to trends-of-strength specific to
unique cultures and ethnicities, the result will be underdeveloped diversity of
knowledge and underdeveloped knowledge of diversity.
It seems safe to presume that
better test scores bear
complimentary relationship to academic/financial success along with perceived social
standing. It could be argued that this is only good if the society in question is proceeding in a
direction materially sustainable, environmentally neutral (at minimum), and universally
equitable in opportunity for all participants. If not, poorer test performance may suggest the
presence of a knowledge alternative to
that which, in aggregate, is currently
applied in counter-productive and/or
There are many good things associated with 'the way things are' and the mechanisms
for unprecedented prosperity need not and should not be fully abandoned. Yet, As we
look upon present-day society there are many who sense something is amiss- at some
level we realize many of the things we continue to view as ‘good’ used to be much
better. For all the prosperity, luxury, and efficiency there exists a nagging sense of
The value and acquisition of knowledge applied in
disregard to natural laws is likely the type best
learned in isolation from exposure to the potential of
its most detrimental consequences. Counter
-productive knowledge becomes incidentally and
sporadically accrued over time- it is shared with
discretion through methods instinctually paced to enhance palatability
among the masses. (Periods of chaos and war would allow the opportunity to
accelerate advancement by virtue of decreased scrutiny).
Now in the 21st Century It could be argued that the standing protocol seems to be one of favor
given to those who demonstrate abilities relevant to maintaining an ‘American Brand’ of
consumption-based capitalism to which a majority would agree is not sustainable model.
A collective society treads gingerly when discussion comes in proximity to differential
performance profiles viewed by frame of race. We fear such results mean something much
more ominous and disturbing then is actually the case. Perhaps the greatest fear is that in the
event all variables of external influence were absolutely identical we would still find variable
performance when viewed by race…then what?
Human Equality is... IS... Absolute (And the meaning of is is IS!)
Mere statistics may deflect attention to the obvious- there is evidence-in clear view...'Proof ' of
divesrsity accross the culture and throughout all levels of social structure. If to fail in the
recognition, there is no focus- in thought or deed- to suggest is one of our nations esteemed
The logical consequence of this omission being a diverse pool of talent remaining untapped
through acquiescence to the comforts of ‘business-as-usual’.
