Religion often
prioritizes the
answer rather then
the experience...
While nature assures diversity among individuals
it is religion catering to that 'in common' while
simultaneously craving distinction- knowing not
the authentic nature of either.  In the presence of
countless derivative doctrines, humanity is able to
address the instinctual need for boundary...a
boundary unseen and seldom sensed yet very
effective in establishing the criteria for
inclusion/exclusion,  The answer then becomes
detached from the experience

In some instances the life-force of doctrine then becomes the need to differentiate-from all
others-both the base religion and the denominations within.  Perhaps it is the very survival of any
group that- at best, reserves the right to delineate the lines of inclusion/exclusion if it is that upon
which survival is perceived to rely.  Doctrine becomes dogma as it transitions from a framework of
beliefs into the realm of uniform behavioral dictates.
The instinct to preserve boundary often influences religion
to cater to factions rather then deriving from a more
inclusive shared-morality.  Religion occasionally hints
derivation from sources seen to serve the 'collective good'
only to then retreat to a reliance upon denominational
doctrine catering to 'the chosen'- seemingly oblivious to
the glaring contradiction. The effectiveness of doctrine
can then be measured by observing the behavioral
compliance to the petty distinctions associated with the
fabricated factions within denominational faith.

dogmatic stew
The Devout, The Zealot…

Behavioral compliance to dogmatic dictates often results in the conversion from a spiritual-being
into a religious zealot.  One zealot speaks to another conversing through cryptic terms in description
of a dogmatic stew of joy, fear, threat, and promise. Both imagine the other to be more/less devout,
knowledgeable, content…and thus, closer to/further from God.

well render a fear of the uncertain.  All eyes look outward as the visible conformity observed in others
provides the soothing illusion of fellowship while denominational doctrine deflects the discomfort of
individual accountability.
